After Henry Étienne Dumaige (French, 1830-1888), "Diana the Huntress", bronzed white metal, signed on base "Dumaige. ", signed indistinctly to figure on back "Dumaige". A figural bronze sculpture depicting Diana the Huntress dressed in draping robes, with quiver with arrows on her back, with large, finely rendered bow in her left hand, with game bird at her feet, with naturalistically rendered tree stump and rocky landscape base, with stepped, ovoidal, gilt and ebonized wood plinth base. Overall approximately 25.5" x 20.25" x 10.25". Provenance: From the private collection of Al & Barbara Holloway, Thomaston, Georgia.
