Continental, 20th century. A matched pair of paint decorated Louis XVI style tabourets or stools, converted from chairs, both covered in tapestry depicting animals in landscape within a floral stitched border, the frames having a guilloche carved frieze on scrolled and lappet supports headed with patera blocks, united by fluted turned stretchers and terminating on toupie feet. Approximate height 19.5", width 23.5" (leg to leg), depth 16".
