RUSSIAN HAND PAINTED LACQUER BOXES, C. 2000, 6 PCS, H 3/4" - 2", W 2 1/2" - 5", D 2 3/4" - 4 3/4", DIA 3 1/4" & 4" (2):Russian hand painted lacquer boxes including two with hinged lids one depicting a bearded prince with a lute floating on a board with a sailing vessel in the background. Arch and two pedestals in the foreground, 3/4" H. x 2 1/4" W. x 2 3/4" D. Second hinged box is square in shape, depicting Tsar Saltan on a sailing vessel with mounted knights, 1 1/4" H. x 5" W. x 4 1/4" D. Third box is square with detached lit depicting a folk tale scene with two woman, one holding a crescent moon the other sitting in front of a colorful cottage with peacock in an upper window. Loose label on the interior inscribed "The Lucy Maxym Collection Guaranteed to be Genuine Russian Lacquer", plus additional label inscribed in Russian and in English: "Made In USSR", also on underside, 1 1/4" H. x 4" W. x 4" D. Fourth box is oval in shape with a detached lid with a cathedral landscape scene, Marked and "Made In Russia" on underside, 1 3/4" H. x 4 7/8" W. x 3 3/4" D. Fifth box is round with a palace scene with male and female servants surrounding a prince on a throne on a detached lid, 2" H. x 4" Dia. Sixth box is round, depicting three dancing court jesters.
