CONFEDERATE CIVIL WAR GLASS, PEWTER & LEATHER WHISKY FLASK, C1863, H 6", L 4":Confederate States Of America, Civil War, glass whisky flask oval in shape with a silver plate metal screw off cap on the neck above a leather cover, stitched to the top half of the flask. Fitted to the bottom of the flask is a removable pewter drinking cup. Engraved on one side of the cup is: "C.S. 16th Regiment" (Confederate States). Engraved on opposite side is an oval medallion with flowers and inscribed: "J. Howard" and "Co. I" (Company I) and at the bottom "S. C. Volunteers" (South Carolina Volunteers).
