Circle of Simon & Halbig (German, 1839-1932), circa late 19th century. A hand cranked musical automaton with three figural bisque-head musicians arranged surrounding a music stand, one cellist, one percussionist, and one lutist, each with head that moves side to side and right arm playing instrument, and with charming period clothing and hat, the figures to a rectangular footed box with crank to right side and lined to each side and top with floral silk textile. Unmarked. Approximate height 14", width 15.5", depth 9.25". Provenance: From the Estate of Mary L. Haugk, Lawrenceville, Georgia.
