ANTIQUE ITALIAN CARVED OAK CABINET, C. 1870-80, H 55", W 39", D 21":Carved with religious/biblical high relief reserves and figures: the marriage of the Virgin adorns the main central door while Moses by the rock is depicted in the center of the bottom section; the niches flanking the central door have carved saints; barley twist columns are the end supports found in the top section, while the bottom section is flanked with tapered posts wound with garlands; top main door opens to a fruitwood inlaid inner door, inner drawer and a carved bone pull; secret compartment.
