Fritz Grebe (German, 1850-1925). "Guiding the Flock", oil on canvas, monogrammed lower left. Vertical naturalistic painting depicting a figural grouping in a landscape with a single female shepherd guiding a flock of sheep and lambs down a meandering dirt path, the group having just crested a hill to background on the path which is flanked to rear by a tall wooden plank fence set before a thicket of tall green trees. Framed approximately 23.5" x 16.75". Unframed approximately 19.25" x 12.875".
