French, 19th century. A French Provincial Directoire style desk or serving table, oak with slight distressing, comprising a top within frame with beaded molded edge surmounting the apron with carved scroll pattern and lotus pattern molding, raised on four turned tapered fluted legs headed by paterae. With unsanded unfinished back board and replaced underside and supports. Approximate height 32", width 56.5", depth 26.5". Provenance: Property from the Private Collection of Helen Ballard, Atlanta, Georgia.
