American, likely late 1920s. A pair of Art and Crafts style patinated bronze cannonball form with rustic hammered exteriors andirons or firedogs, each with spherical ball tops decorated with convex sunbursts over the squared front columns decorated with convex circles punctuated by diamond motifs, attached by a c-curved section to the billet bar, each raised on thick c-shaped front support terminating in two legs on small plinth feet, the central section raised on a spike, the billet raised on a plain squared support, verso of billet bar impressed with "1927", likely for date, other cast numbers possibly for pattern numbers. Apparently unsigned. Approximate height 23.5", width 14", depth 27".
