American (likely Southern), Late 18th/Early 19th century. A circa 1795-1815 country example of a Federal period three drawer chest of drawers, mahogany with Southern yellow pine secondary wood, the top surmounting a drawer facade with three drawers with oval patinated metal mounts with conforming patinated metal drawer pulls and keyholes, opening to stained yellow pine drawer interiors with replaced drawer backs, all resting on molded base with cyma curved front and side apron over four bracket feet. Approximate height 35", width 41", depth 22".
