With brass engraved plaque and accents. Raised and attached to a later wooden stand. Writing desk contained in rectangular box with plaque reading "Presented to J. Bowen, Esq. by the Baptist Sunday School on the ocassion of his leaving Morriston for Llithryd, 7th Feby 1871." Folding tan leather writing surface embossed with gold foliate border decoration. Overall height 23 inches, width 20.5 inches, depth 11.5 inches.
