EARLY 19TH C., 22" X 13 1/2", WOMAN REFLECTING ON THE ASCENT OF THE VIRGIN:Woman shown in half length, pondering, with her eyes turned up towards the heavens as she holds a sheet of paper with "Ascetvr de Virgine" written on it. She wears a blue scarf around her head and neck and a red garment around her torso. Gilt wood and gesso frame. No apparent signature. Ex. Collection of Gabriel R.
