ALFRED B. COPELAND (AMER.,1840-1909), OIL ON CANVAS, 'STILL LIFE AND ARTIST'S REFLECTION', 20" X 30":Artist's image reflecting in pitcher. Signed and dated lower right 1865. Framed. Copeland studied at the Royal Academy, Antwerp (Belgium). He has exhibited at the Boston AC, and Paris Salon. He was an art professor at the University of St. Louis (MO) before leaving for Paris in 1877 and settling there for nearly two decades. He lived his last years in Boston.
