Hermes (French, founded 1837). Set of four designer porcelain figural sporting motif plates depicting a dog on center tondo on white ground within a mustard yellow border accented with woodland animals including rabbits and foxes. Group comprising of a "Scottish terrier (Scottish Terrier)", a "Fox a poil lisse (Smooth Fox Terrier)", a "Teckel à poil dur (Wirehaired Dachshund)", and a "Teckel à poil long (Longhaired Dachshund). Each plate of octagonal form and marked on bottom with maker "HERMES PORCELAIN PARIS" in oval medallion beside diamond cartouche with "HERMES PARIS FRANCE" below name of dog breed and "Chiens courants & Chiens d'arret" (Hounds & Pointers). Each dessert or luncheon plate has an approximate diameter 8.5".
