Franklin H. Eshelman(American, 19th/20th c.) , oil on canvas Berks County, Pennsylvania farm scene titled "Old Snyder Farm and Bertolet Log Cabin", signed lower right "F.H. Eshelman" and initialed on stretcher "FHE '97", 26" x 42". The log cabin depicted was moved between 1965 and 1967 and reconstructed on the Daniel Boone Homestead. Provenance: Paul R. Eshelman. Exhibited at the Reading Public Museum 1982. For a similar example see Sotheby's, January 2002, lot 866, The Collection of Julie and Sandy Paley, depicting the same farm in the Oley Valley.
