Jacobean oak turner's chair, early/mid 17th c. , with exuberantly turned crest rail with typical baluster, ball, ring and sausage turned back and arm rests, above a triangular seat supported by massive front legs joined by stretchers, retains an old, possibly original dry painted surface.
