LOUIS EILSHEMIUS (AMERICAN, 1864-1941), OIL ON BOARD, 'YELLOW SUNSET', C. 1900-10, 10 1/2" X 14 1/2":Also known as "Louis Michel Elshemus". Eilshemius lived in Europe from 1873 to 1881, attended Cornell University and the Art Students League in New York, and from 1886 to 1887, the Academie Julian in Paris. Signed lower left "Elshemus". Having a "Bernard Black Gallery of Paintings, Sculpture, and Antiques" label and "A.P.F. Inc. New York Master Frame makers" label on verso.
