ENGLISH MAHOGANY LAP DESK, C. 1830, H 6", W 20", D 9 7/8", ON A MODERN TABLE BASE:Campaign style with hinged lid, brass banding at the corners, flanked by brass handles, one of which opens a small drawer, opening to replaced green felt writing surface, hinged at both sides for storage, fitted with a removable pen tray and one glass ink bottle with brass cap (dented). Raised on a modern mahogany table base comprising four squared supports joined by a stretcher, overall H.21 1/2" x 21" x 11", surmounted by a modern glass top.
