BELGIAN CARVED OAK SARCOPHAGUS, LATE 19TH. C., H 35", L 69", D 21":Five carved panels on front façade. Center panel depicts two figures praying flanked by panel with two birds and panel with two sheep. One end panel appears to have carving in motif of fish. Iron hinges, hasp and lock. Hinged lid. Raised on base which has two bracket feet and center carved with head of winged angel. Stamped in black "Made in Belgium". From St. Martha's Episcopal Church, 15801 Joy Road Detroit, a church built and furnished by Clara and Henry Ford I; the Fords are buried in the church cemetery.
