CHINESE CANTON BLUE & WHITE PORCELAIN TEAPOT, 19TH CENTURY, H 9 1/2", W 9":Fixed brass handle, having a dragon and mythological animal motif. Height of porcelain only is 7". Very narrow and fine brass rim along upper collar. Unusual decoration about entire circumference including 5 mythological animals with checkered bodies and flaming tails amongst cloud forms. Glaze has "orange peel" texture. Ex Collection, estate of Ilene Gattegno, Farmington Hills, Mich.
