DRESDEN HAND PAINTED PORCELAIN DINNER SERVICE, C. 1930, 56 PIECES:Including 1 open vegetable dish, L 9 1/4"; 3 covered casserole dishes, H 5 1/2", L 11 1/2"; 1 covered sauce bowl and stand (no ladle), H 4", L 8"; 1 covered soup tureen (no ladle), H 9", L 13"; 13 soup bowls, Dia. 9 1/2" (one with a 1/2" chip at the rim and several with minor chips); 14 dinner plates, Dia. 9 3/4"; 12 dessert plates, Dia. 5 7/8" and 11 hor d'oeuvre plates, Dia. 5 1/4". Each piece is hand painted with floral motifs and gold accents and rims. "H", "Dresden" and a triangle are painted in blue on the underside of each piece (with exception of the hor d'oeuvre plates) with a crown and a bisected H above "Germany" in green. The hor d'oeuvre plates are marked with the Rosenthal maker's mark of R. X C. topped with a crown and M above two lines and Dresden in blue.
