Austrian (likely Viennese), first half of 20th century (likely 1930s). Near life size heavy patinated bronze figural sculpture of a female African nude depicted at full length standing on a circular base in black with gold finish at center. Woman rendered in slender elongated form (in the manner of Hagenauer) with large hoop earrings, rings around neck and thigh and holding a gilt tapered vessel on head. Apparently unsigned. Overall height 55.5", diameter of base 12.5". Note: A very similar work sold through Quittenbaum Auction Gallery in Munich, Germany on April 24, 2012 as Lot 696.
