French (possibly from Normandy), 19th Century. Provincial Louis XV oak vitrine or bibliotheque, the arched pediment carved with egg and dart and beading centered with frieze carved basket issuing flowers over the two glass inset foliate carved doors,the fielded panels carved with florals and tribute to the arts, opening to a shelved interior, over a shaped apron centered with handled urn and scrolling foliage, the whole raised on short foliate carved cabriole legs. Height 79", width 35", depth 16".
