JAPANESE WOODBLOCK PRINTS, FIVE, C. 1940, 10 3/4" X 7 3/4":Including 1 image depicting two courtesans and one man with umbrellas in the snow, 1 image of two courtesans seemingly in the midst of a tea ceremony, 1 image of a woman standing out side of a house with two women looking out at her through a window, 1 image of women in a vessel on a body of water and 1 image of a courtesan with her shirt partially open, smoking. Each identically matted under glass and framed and includes a label on the verso reading "The Picture Shop Progressive G.I. Pehesson Mgr Artistic Picture Framing Meekins, Packard & Wheat Inc.". All images contain artists' signatures. Provenance, the Haynes Family of Springfield, Massachusetts, by descent to a Jackson, Mich. collector.
