CUSTOM-MADE TABLE LINENS FOR JOSEPHINE FORD, BROADWAY SHOW THEMES, C. 1950, SET OF TWELVE, 36 PIECES:Twelve each of placemats, 13 1/4" x 19", napkins, W.19" square, and coasters, Dia.6"; each of Egyptian cotton and appliquéd with either the playbill or memorable scenes from each play, including "My Fair Lady", "The Music Man", "The King and I", "Guys and Dolls", "The Sound of Music", "Tea and Sympathy", "Carousel", "South Pacific", "Teahouse of the August Moon", "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie", "Ondine", and "Plaza Suite"; each also appliquéd with a caricature of Josephine Ford as the comedy/tragedy symbols of the theater and her monogram JFF. Josephine Ford commissioned twelve of her favorite plays to be depicted on napery used at luncheon and dinner parties.
