GERMAN CARVED WOOD RELIEF WALL PANEL, 17TH-18TH CENTURY, 13" X 30":Has figures in low relief, with a central figure under canopy, depicting a crowned king who is flanked by soldiers. In foreground is a kneeling woman, beside her helmeted figures holding a baby. Carved in upper panel ,"Lemon V"; on left panel, "korninck sa". The whole panel is in self wood frame with caryatids flanking either side. Height is 12 1/2" Purchased by great uncle of consignor: Alfred Schmidtol while he was stationed in Belgium for Libby Owens Ford Glass Co circa 1925. (rev.20070316)
