ATTRIBUTED TO THE FRENCH SCHOOL, OIL ON WOOD PANEL,1ST HALF OF 19TH C. OR EARLIER, 14 7/8" X 10 1/2":Madonna and child. Panel is bevelled. Having an emerald background with a red cloaked Madonna nursing the Christ Child who rests on an ornate pillow. Illegible inscription reading "Madame----" and possible signature on verso. Illegible partial black stamp (Dresden?) on verso. Excellent detail. Frame is later in date. (rev.20070316)
