English, 20th C. Pair of English Edwardian satinwood painted work tables comprising a fitted sewing table, the other a fitted teapoy. Both tables with octagonal cross-banded tops, centered with ribbon tied cornucopia issuing trailing flowering foliage over a grisaille painted mythological cartouche. The interior of one with nine lidded compartments probably for sewing implements, the other opening to a pair of removable hinged tea containers, 2 green baize lined tea wells and a slender open compartment. Both with conforming octagonal friezes floral painted and raised on tall slender incurvate and downswept legs united by a shaped stretcher and both missing escutcheons, original locking mechanisms stamped Secure 2 Lever. Height 28.25", width 15.3", depth 13.5".
