VERNER WHITE (AMER. 1863-1923), OIL ON ARTIST BOARD, 9 1/2" X 12", LANDSCAPE WITH APPLE BLOSSOM TREES:Appears to be unsigned. Marked in pen on verso "Verner White, Taken From the Briggs Estate, Det. MI". Also, having a "McGuire's Fine Art, Northville, MI" label on verso. The artist lived in Florida, Alabama, Texas, and Missouri and studied art in Europe. He exhibited at the 1902 St. Louis World's Fair, where he won a prize for his still-life. His work can be viewed in the Capitol Building in Montgomery, Alabama.
