ENGLISH ROSEWOOD TEA CADDY, C. 1840, H 6 1/4", W 13 1/4", D 6 3/4":Including small silver colored oval plaque on the bottom with engraving " JWD 89". Interior is divided into 3 sections, 2 with coverings and the middle is lined with purple velvet. The left section has a sticker on it that says, "July 14, 1946: To my dearest Christine from Nana. For being a good girl when staying with me when Mommy was in Nursery home with Baby Sister." Box has a lock, but no key. EX COLLECTION: James and Caroline Duff, Grosse Pointe.
