VICTORIAN STERLING & CHELSEA PORCELAIN-HANDLED FRUIT KNIVES & FORKS, LONDON, C. 1845-94, TWELVE:Including 6 fruit knives, L.8 3/4", and 6 fruit forks, 7 7/8", each porcelain handle hand-decorated with perched birds, flower sprays, and insects, two forks feature courting reserves. Each knife hallmarked at the blade with an uncrowned leopard, lion passant, Gothic date letter (rubbed, c.1845), queen's profile, and an indiscernible maker's mark; each fork hallmarked at the neck with an uncrowned leopard, lion passant, date letter T in a shield (1894), and an indiscernible marker's mark.
