GERMAN LITHOPANE PORCELAIN STEIN WITH PEWTER MOUNTINGS BY PAULSON, 1906, H 10 1/2", DIA 4 1/2":Having a stencil and hand painted motif of Friedrich Ludwig Jahn (Father Jahn) along with the Four F emblem "Frisch, Fromm, Froehlich, Frei" set amidst a German city skyline and German text; the interior reveals a lithopane which depicts a man and a woman in an interior setting. The pewter mountings, by Martin Paulson, are stamped with "Paulson P06" and "München" and the underside of the stein is impressed with "20".
