Chronos and Amour figural parcel gilt bronze mantle clock depicting the allegorical figures of love (as winged nude putti or cherub holding oar with bow and arrows in quiver at feet) and time (as a seated bald bearded winged man with draped cloth around waist holding hour glass on knee in a large boat with swan's head mount at stem, dotted motif and fringed swag at center below circular dial (missing protective glass) with black Roman numerals on dial. Boat above two sea serpent's heads with spear form tongues extended on a green onyx stone base with shell mounts in front corners flanking crossed oar with dolphin motif and trident with ribbon bow, overall raised on four winged lion's paw feet. Movement marked with "A.1" within oval above "8383". Approximate height 12.75", width 14.25", depth 5".
