ARNOLD MARC GORTER (DUTCH, 1866-1933), OIL ON CANVAS, 26" X 22", COWS GRAZING IN A WOODED LANDSCAPE:Image consists of three cows grazing by a calm river in a wooded landscape. The mid ground shows the grove of trees as portrayed in early spring, or possibly early fall, with the blue sky enhanced by patches of large cumulus nimbus clouds. The image is signed "A.M. Gorter" in the lower right corner and is contained within a gilt frame that is marked by a plaque which also provides the artist's name. (rev.20071212)
