American School, first half 20th century. A palatial silver on copper and crystal eight light centerpiece epergne with central cut crystal bowl surrounded by eight coiled arms each terminating in a single light, the arms of fluted form with c scrolls and flower bunches to arms and candle cups, the body to a pedestal form base with four feet decorated with acanthus leaf tips surmounted by a vasiform central support with acanthus leaf decoration, the four arms of supporting lights and the candle cups all being removable. Marked to underside of base and interior of each candle cup "W & Co S" in four cartouches. Overall approximately 18.75" tall x 23" wide at top.
