French, 19th century. A pair of French Empire gilt metal uplights or torchere lamps with hand beaded wire mesh covers and marbelized wood pedestals, the torcheres on tripartite ball and claw feet with winged putti masks between and key motif to legs below medallion with ribbon swags, the body of graduated incurvate form with ram's head masks to corners and foliate swags and garlands to planes, surmounted to top by a tapared vasiform socket, the covers of jade and other semi-precious stones in purple, pink, light green, and spinach carved grape bunches, prunus fruit, and leaves hand sewn to wire mesh dome, the tripartite pedestals of blue tone marbleized wood with toe molded base. Overall approximately 59.5" tall, 16.5" wide at base.
