Lancaster County, Pennsylvania Chippendale walnut tall case clock, ca. 1795 , the broken arch bonnet with bold floral rosettes, above a carved tympanum enclosing an 8-day works, signed "Martin Shreiner Lancaster No. 90", over an arched door flanked by fluted quarter columns and a base with scalloped panel supported by bracket feet, 96" h. For an identical carved tympanum, see Sotheby's Important Americana , October 7, 2006, lot 273. Exhibited at the Heritage Center, Lancaster, PA 1977.Provenance: Descended in the family of Amos H. Mylin of West Lampeter Township, Pennsylvania.
