Pennsylvania Queen Anne walnut armchair, ca. 1750 , possibly Lancaster County, with an upholstered back and seat, massive downward sloping arms with baluster supports, scalloped seat frame, and cabriole front legs terminating in crooked feet, retaining a desirable old dark finish. The back and arms with evidence of tack holes of the original over-upholstery. A chair of similar design is pictured in Swank, Art of the Pennsylvania Germans fig. 67, and is in the collection of The Henry Francis DuPont Winterthur Museum.
