RUSSIAN MILITARY PINS, BUTTON, PATCHES, EPAULETS & LEATHER MAP CASE, C. 1960, 17 PIECES:also includes a 10 Ruble Russian bank note; the map case is originally from a Russian officer; four of the pins are artillery uniform lapel pins; one red star cap insignia; three brass buttons; two railroad troops uniform lapel pins and patch; two junior sergeant epaulets and two additional lapel boards; per the consigner, allegedly during the cold war, the case held the Russian missile target maps of the United States which this officer kept with him during the cold war; after the Cold War this Russian officer was visiting the U.S. as part of the Cincinnati, Ohio - Kharkiv, Russia, Sister City Project in 1988, where he presented the empty case as a gift to his Cincinnati host and hostess, who in turn 10 years ago, gave it to the consigner.
