Philadelphia Chippendale mahogany dining table, ca. 1765 , the rectangular top supported by 2 drop leaves with notched corners, over a frame with scalloped ends supported by cabriole legs terminating in ball and claw feet, retaining an old dry surface, 28" h. x 18 1/2" x 41 3/4". Provenance: According to family tradition, the table was originally owned by Enoch(1720-1781) and Amy(1724-1817) Stratton of Philadelphia and has descended directly in the family to the present owner.
