Continental, late 19th/ early 20th century. Framed hand painted portrait porcelain plaque of oval form depicting the young Empress Marie Louise (Austrian, 1791-1847) depicted at bust length wearing jeweled gold crown on curled brunette locks, pearl earrings, pearl necklace and pink, gold and white gown. Imperial figure with calm and serene facial expression. Plaque with painted inscription on back reading "Marie Louise". Unsigned diminutive plaque contained in Rococo style giltwood frame. Framed approximately 9.25" x 8.25". Plaque approximately 3.3" x 2.7". Provenance: From the Estate of Mary L. Haugk, Lawrenceville, Georgia.
