Rosenthal (German, founded 1884), circa 1891-1906. A shadowbox framed large porcelain portrait plate depicting a young brunette beauty at center in semi-profile with her hair neatly tied up behind her head and pink lips parted slightly as she peers straight ahead, and wearing a floral scarf or shawl over a yellow dress, the plate overall with gradient green, yellow, orange, and brown background and a gilt scroll border. Marked in green underglaze to verso of plate "R C" below a crown. Late 19th century paper gallery or framer label to verso of frame from Vine Street, Cincinatti, Ohio. Framed approximately 19.5" square. Plate approximate diameter 12.125". Provenance: From the Estate of Mary L. Haugk, Lawrenceville, Georgia.
