Continental, late 19th/early 20th century. Royal Vienna style large porcelain round lidded dresser box with hand painted bust length portrait of Queen Louise of Prussia after the original full length oil painting originally executed in 1879 by Gustav Richter (German, 1823-1884). Figural portrait surrounded by gilt borders and beading, scrolled foliates, fleur-de-lis, and bellflowers on pastel yellow, pink, blue and magenta ground. Marked on bottom with blue beehive mark, traditionally indicating Royal Vienna but used by other maker's after the company's factory closed in 1864. Approximate height 3.75", diameter 6". Provenance: From the Estate of Mary L. Haugk, Lawrenceville, Georgia.
