Continental, first half 20th century. A shadowbox framed small ormolu mounted porcelain portrait plate with opposing double loop handles, possibly by Rosenthal (German, founded 1884), depicting a young brunette lady in white draped garment and gold headband in curled brown hair, the figure at bust length facing the viewer, plate bordered with band of gilt shell forms and two bands of geometric patterning. Plate not removable from frame, therefore unknown if mark exists. Framed approximately 13.25" square. Plate approximate width across handles 8.25". Provenance: From the Estate of Mary L. Haugk, Lawrenceville, Georgia.
