French, 20th century. A petite or diminutive bureau plat or ladies writing table in the Louis XV style comprising a tan leather top with embossed central starburst and foliate scroll banding cyma curved edges with gilt metal trimmed moldings, over the walnut and maple veneered frame comprising two side drawers with vegetal form rocaille pulls, raised on four cabriole legs with gilt metal mounts, the knees with central male face masks terminating in gilt scroll sabots. Approximate height 28.75", width 38", depth 20".
