IRENA KOMOROWSKA (POLISH 20TH), OILS ON BOARD, 2, 1948, C. 1958, 13 1/8" X 15 3/8", 14 5/8" X 10 7/8":Irena Komorowska was the wife of the Polish general, Tadeusz Komorowski; the painting on canvasboard depicts Pilaszkow where their son was born in 1944 and is signed and dated 1948 in the lower left; the second painting depicts a tree on their estate - it is signed, inscribed and dated London 1952 in the lower left and marked "Swiz" and dated 195(?) in the lower right. Both are framed. Includes a 1951 personal letter with envelope from Tadeusz, photos of the general and a First Day issue, US 5 cent, 1966 millennium stamp as well as a Birmingham, England c. 1945 sterling compact owned by Irena.
