Spanish, early 19th Century. Matched pair of Spanish Baroque style walnut, studded and upholstered open armchairs, the tapestry style fringed back and seat with nailhead trim, flanked by volute foliate scrolled stiles joined by flat arms on baluster supports over the padded seat, raised on block legs joined by pierced front stretchers and scalloped side stretchers. Approximate height 41", width 24.4" (arm to arm), seat depth 13.5", seat height 19".
