Puiforcat (French, founded 1857), second half 20th century. Matched pair of silver plate and lapis lazuli style enamel candlesticks or candleholders having circular mouth over a columnar standard raised on a stepped circular socle base. Marked to the underside 'Puirforcat France' along with diamond shaped hallmark registered trademark, 1857, for Emile Puiforcat partnering with his cousin Jean-Baptiste Fuchs. Approximate height 6.5", diameter of base 3.8".
