"SEVRES GILT BRONZE MOUNTED PORCELAIN CENTERPIECE, SIGNED A. DARET, LATE 19TH C., H 15 1/2"", L 15"":Having a porcelain stem and bowl with hand painted motifs within two vignettes; one side depicts two young women and a young man in an outdoor setting and the other side limns a large cluster of various kinds of flowers. The interior of the bowl also is adorned with floral motifs and the double L mark that is centered by two of the letter B all of which are above an S. The gilt bronze mountings show imagery of cherubim masks along with scrolling leaf, floral and vine motifs. The piece is signed ""A. Daret"". Provenance: consignor inherited c. 40 years ago from the estate of William L. Coghlin, president of Buckeye Brewery, Toledo, OH." (rev.20081212)
