Italian, 19th century. Pair of finely hand painted, carved and giltwood wall mirrors. Each with vertically aligned looking glass or mirror within gilt leaf tip border contained within rounded wood frame with hand painted florals and scrolled foliates in green, red, orange, gold, and blue. Top crest carved and pierced with S and C scrolls, acanthus leaves, and flowers, surrounding shield form medallion on crest with courting scene with young woman and man in an outdoor setting with view of village at back.
